I too enjoyed Tinariwen yesterday, though I had hoped for a bit more grit. The other new album I tried was Olive Jones - For Mary. It is definitely worth a listen. Olive’s voice is a bit like Norah Jones’ but with more range. The songs are varied in tempo and style, but mostly have a soul feel like Roberta Flack, not Memphis or Motown. https://olivejones.bandcamp.com/album/for-mary

I have to agree with Paul regarding Tinariwen - a little muscle in some tunes would've grooved well. Still, really enjoyed the album overall.
Also dug Tappa Zukie - he was new to me. Figured Sly and Robbie were connected before I checked it out.
Thanks to Paul for the Olive Jones nod, that was really, really enjoyable and is now highly recommended!
Thanks, and have a great weekend!
Randy
