The Kinks Kronikles is one of the best representations of the breadth of Kinks music. I used to listen to it more than the individual albums, because of all the B-sides that were collected on it. An amazing period for an incredible band.

Bill,
I couldn't agree more! It's brilliant, as if I chose the playlist myself. Really smart collection.

So of course I had to listen to KK on my ride home last night and was impressed once again by the collection. So many great songs--Dead End Street, Autumn Almanac, Susannah's Still Alive, etc--that weren't on any album. Ray was on fire back then, For Heaven's sake, he decided not to include Days on Village Green. That's crazy!

Days
Autumn Almanac (One of two songs Andy Partridge says he wished he'd written)
This Is Where I Belong
Mindless Child Of Motherhood
God's Children

These are some of my fave Kinks songs of all time, all non album tracks.
