That Bonerama album is a lot of fun. They were terrific at FQF this year.
I listened to the Kool and the Gang album Wild and Peacful you spun a few days ago. It was great. You know you're in good hands when the first song is "Funky Stuff" and then the second song is "MORE Funky Stuff." Except for the song "Heaven at Once," which I thought was weak, it's really strong. Got another favorite Kool album?
FYI - just got an email that the Sally Baby's Silver Dollar JF set is now available for purchase on the munck music site,
"Spirit Of The Boogie" is pretty good.
Just saw that. My friend bought the disc at Fest and is sending me that and a "bible." Might have to buy that ShinyRibs set, though.
Let me know what you think of the Sally set. I like what I have been able to hear from him, but its a small cross section.
I'm officially obsessed with them. I went down a YouTube rabbit hole and ripped audio from a number of performances.
