Sam Rivers- Fuchsia Swing Song (1965)- ***
Sly & Robbie, Nils Petter Molvaer- Nordub (2018)- ***1/2
(I enjoyed a lot of this. Thanks Randy!)
Roger Nichols & the Small Circle Of Friends- S/T (1968)- **1/2
(Sunshine pop, cult classic that I've tried to get into a number of times over the years, but it just never takes. Not even this time.)
Willy DeVille- Loup Garou (1995)- ***
(First time hearing this and it is not what I was expecting at all. Stylistically all over the place, and Willy doesn't always sound like Willy. Not terrible, but still weak, though it got better as it played. The Brenda Lee duet is pretty nice, but "White Trash Girl" sounds a little too much like C.C. Adcock.)
Led Zeppelin- Houses Of The Holy (1973)- ****
Small Faces- S/T: Immediate, MONO (1967/2023) - ****
Steely Dan- Countdown To Ecstasy (1973)- ****
Pink Floyd- The Wall: Personal Edit (1979/2026)- ***1/2
(Imperfect. Tried to tighten it up and make it lighter and more song oriented, but some of the transitions are abrupt. Back to the drawing board.)
Aerosmith- Permanent Vacation (1987)- ****
Ronnie Spector- The Very Best Of... (2015)- ****

Nils Petter Molvær has done some very interesting work, though perhaps not as special as Jon Hassell. Try his “Khmer” (or the live version released last year). Will check out Nordub.
Best thing I listened to yesterday was something that should work, but is surprisingly good: Jaume Vilaseca Trio - Jazznesis II (The Music of Genesis 1970-74). There are three albums by this Barcelona pianist. The arrangements are inspired and well played/recorded. His daughter sings one or two songs, though most are instrumental. If you are interested and can’t find it, let me know.

Jazzy Genesis? Very fun. (Brad Mehldau wants his royalties.:) I'm gonna check them out.
And The Wall def needs an edit. I'm the nutter who prefers The Final Cut.
Submitted for your consideration:
Pink Floyd’s The Wall (Personal Edit) with 13 tracks and 49 min runtime.

Crazy to think there are those that think this album’s too short. :)
I’ve now listened to this playlist more than I’ve listened to the album in the last 30 years. Utilizing Apple Music’s AutoMix function resulted in pretty seamless transitions. I doubt I’ll ever listen to the album in its entirety again. I’d forgotten the disco elements.
Thanks for the inspiration, sir :)
