Magic Sam Blues Band- West Side Soul- ****
Toots & The Maytals- Slatyam Stoot- ****
(I'm A Moron, Volume 7: I have had this record for years and only today realized its title is "Toots Maytals" backwards.)
Bob Dylan- St. Paul, 10/30/02-***1/2
(I love this show because of all the wacky covers.)
Graham Gouldman- The Graham Gouldman Thing-****
Todd Rundgren- Runt (Alternate April 1970 Master)- ****
Talking Heads- More Songs About Buildings & Food (Alternates) - **1/2
(Not a fan of the album so no surprise that I didn't enjoy alternates.)
V/A- Another Saturday Night: 16 Cajun & Louisiana Jukebox Hits-****
Black Sabbath- Mob Rules- ****
Velvet Underground- S/T (Kevin Gray MONO Master)- ****
Queen- The Works- ****
(I hated this record when it came out. It was an improvement over "Hot Space," but it felt like the band was really over. Sharp ears will notice each song is basically a rewrite of songs on "The Game." But I digress. 40 years and Freddie's death has shed new light on their entire catalogue and I love most of it now for different reasons. Though, "A Kind Of Magic" is still pretty cringey.)
Echo & The Bunnymen- S/T- ****
Goo Goo Dolls- Superstar Car Wash- ****
(The last great record before John Rzeznkinkizkznzki transitioned from Buffalo's Paul Westerberg into Buffalo's Jon Bon Jovi.)
Dr. Feelgood- Down By The Jetty- ***1/2

I listened to A Kind Of Magic recently and it sounded way better than I remembered. Especially the Brian May songs.
I'll have to listen again. It's been a while.
I loved the Goo Goo Dolls for exactly that reason (the Replacements sound) and have been disappointed ever since this record, as you have.
I love More Songs…!!! Not suggesting it’s the best Talking Heads album but, it is definitely my favorite. It’s fun and energetic despite the lyrical themes. Tina seems as prominent as David. Eno was making pop stars. This is the one I play. These songs sound outstanding on their 1982 live album, The Name of This Band… :)
I agree the live versions on "The Name Of This Band..." are better. I'll also admit, I don't love Talking Heads the way others do. The first two records feel like an in-joke among college buddies. I do love the next three, but then I am right off the bus again from "Little Creatures" on through Byrne's solo career. (He simply gets under my skin.) Oh, and "Stop Making Sense" is indeed one of the greatest concert films ever, I just never want to listen to it.
