Van Morrison- Beyond Words (three songs)- **
(Lost patience almost immediately with this record.)
Paul McCartney- Pipes Of Peace-***1/2
(A much better record than my initial take 40 years ago.)
Jackie Mittoo- Reggae Magic- ****
Miles Davis- Bitches Brew (Record Two)- ***1/2
Stevie Wonder- Mono Singles- ****
Queen- Epic- ***1/2
(Just released, digital only comp of their "epic" tracks, whatever that means. Isn't everything this band does epic? I love every song here, but there doesn't seem to be much thought behind this. And the songs sound like they're from several sources.)
Ray Barretto- Acid-****1/2
Prince- The Chocolate Invasion-***1/2
Motorhead- Another Perfect Day-****
(The one record with Thin Lizzy guitarist Brian Robertson seemed to split Motorhead fans. I love it.)
