Rickie Lee Jones- Ghostyhead
(This wasn't what I wanted from RLJ when it was released, but it worked better years later.)
The Beatles- Meet The Beatles (2024 MONO Remaster)
(This sounded like crap. What a disappointment. I've got a few more to go.)
Golden Earring- Miracle Mirror
The Beatles- Second Album (2024 MONO Remaster)
(Wow. These new remasters are awful! What a mess.)
Kendrick Lamar- GNX
(People, friends and musicians who I love and respect, loved "To Pimp A Butterfly." I didn't get it. But I really enjoyed this one. I might write up something for BW, but it'll probably go over like reggae and metal. Not sure I want to work that hard. But there was something about this that I really liked.)
Dennis Bovell- Sufferer Sounds
The Dukes Of Stratosphear- 25 O'Clock
iPod on Shuffle:
Saving Grace- Tom Petty
She's Calling You- Bad Brains
Honest With Me- Bob Dylan
A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall- Bryan Ferry
Eight Hours Sleep- Paul Kelly
Arrow Through Me- Wings
Body & Soul- Amy Winehouse & Tony Bennett
Black Cat Bone- The Bluerunners
Weirdo- New Order
Sea Spray- Paul Weller

I enjoyed the new Kendrick Lamar album very much. I’ve been a fan since TPAB (Visconti Blackstar interview). I also like the Gainsbourg from Thursday. New to me. Thanks for sharing. :)
Lamar's vocals are really terrific on the new album. I've become really turned off by calling women (all women!) bitches, though. He sings something like "Me and my bitch have a complicated relationship" Uh yeah, starting with the fact that you call him your bitch. Nothing in the song says he's playing a character or commenting on this attitude. A few other things lyrically bothered me too, but I've only spun it once. But it made a strong impression on me. Better than him wasting time with diss tracks taking on Drake. Beefs? Another thing I have no time for anymore. -- Grumpy Old Man.
Wow! It sucks they did a bad job remastering the Beatles US albums. That's really unexpected from them; I thought they took more care.
