Silkroad Ensemble w/Rhiannon Giddens- American Railroad
(I had an idea of what this would sound like, but I had no idea how hard I would fall. Wow. This was stunning! I did not want it to end.)
Jon Batiste- Beethoven Blues
(Another winner.)
Judy Mowatt- Black Woman
(Hard to find a better reggae record.)
The Kinks- BW's Great Lost Kinks Compilation
(Recently compiled. Giving it a test run now.)
John Cale- Paris 1919 (2024 Remaster & Bonus LP Of Outtakes and Unreleased)
(This is a pretty stellar reissue of an all time favorite. Fantastic remastering and interesting bonus tracks, though not sure why a newly recorded track needed to be here. It sounds like something off his last record and definitely out of place.)
Todd Rundgren- Arena
(First time on vinyl for this, one of my 10 faves from Todd. Nice pressing, too. It's the little things.)
Paul Weller- Kings Theater, Brooklyn: 9/7/24

Much to listen to today; thanks!
Really enjoying the new Dwight Yoakam album, Brighter Days (released yesterday). It does seem to have a brighter sound, with some late-Sixties/early-Seventies teases.
Thank you for all you do, sir! Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend :)
