After listening to the Audible interview with Pete Townshend, I did a run through the albums he talked about: Empty Glass, Face Dances, It's Hard, Chinese Eyes. I started my life-long love of the Who right after Who Are You came out, so it was exciting to be getting these new albums as they were released, not as historic artifacts.
Empty Glass is still my favorite (by far), but I think all these albums are good--even It's Hard. In fact, I was surprised by how much I remembered of It's Hard, given that I don't listen to it very much. The songs are better on Face Dances, but I prefer the production on It's Hard.
And I even like Athena!
