Looking forward to Dungeon Lane

Oh no! I want autumnal Paul and feared this was a little bit of everything. Still looking forward to it, like Guy, but with expectations lowered. Every Paul album shouldn't feel like an event–he records regularly–but somehow they do. One can't help hoping for greatness.

It was only the first pass of McCartney.

Listening to the new Paul today - 1st pass I was tending to other matters, so didn't really give it undivided attention, but really liked it. Listening again, and it is really hitting me hard. Will buy it on vinyl for a better experience (streaming it today).

Funny, I was not in a good frame of mind yesterday. Lots of things going wrong and I think it affected how I was listening to Paul. Just gave it another focused pass and I really enjoyed it. I think it will get even better.

Just did a 3rd pass. I love it. Its my 2nd favorite post Beatles lp he has done. I consider Ram to be a modern masterpiece, so its unlikely he'll ever eclipse that one to me. But, the consistency in this new lp is just stunning - setting aside the fact that the man is over 80 years old.
