The Miles Davis Quintet- Steamin' (1961)- ****

Cecil Taylor Workshop Ensemble- Legba Crossing (1989)- *1/2

(I knew exactly what I was in for and it scared me anyway. I lasted about 18 of its 48 minutes.)

Paul Weller- A Kind Revolution (2017)- ****

(This record grew on me. Thought it was so-so upon release. Now, I think it's fantastic.)

Teenage Fanclub- Songs From Northern Britain (1997)- ***1/2

(I liked more than I didn't. Standouts: "Control You," "Bad World," "Winter," and "I Don't Care.")

Alton Ellis- Sings Rock And Soul (1967)- ***1/2
Charlie McCoy- The World Of Charlie McCoy (1968)- ***

Jason Falkner- All Quiet On The Noise Floor (2009)- ***12
(Another year and no new Jason record...as promised. Not getting any younger, ova heah!)

Teenage Fanclub- Grand Prix (1995)- ***1/2
(Half great. Half like what I think most TF sounds like. Six from this and six from "Northern Britain" would make one great album.)

Chelsea- S/T (1979)- **1/2

I’d never listened to a single Paul Weller solo album until BW. I now own four (Thank you very much!) and enjoy so much of what I hear from him. Thanks for that as well.
As a daily reader of BW, I also enjoy reading the evolution of your relationship with an artist or album. Very cool. Cheers, sir :)

Taking a tip from the Teenage Fanclub talk, I listened to Songs From Northern Britain yesterday, which I hadn't played in a couple of years, at least. I liked it quite a bit. It just might be a Grand Prix day today.

And that Paul Weller song is a wonderful start for a Tuesday morning.
