Terry Riley- In C (1968)- **
v/a- Lake Charles Or Bust: A BW Weekend Mix (2025)- ****

The Kinks- Are The Village Green Preservation Society: Kevin Gray MONO Master (1968/2018)- ****

(I think the stereo beats the mono by a hair.)

The Everly Brothers- Roots (1968)- ****

(Essential EB! This sounded fantastic today. Might go back for more Everlys later.)

The Beach Boys- Surf's Up (1971)- ****

The Zombies- Odessey & Oracle: 2025 MONO RM (1968/2025)- ****

(No definitive word yet on whether this is all analog or digital. I'm going with digital since it's been said for years that the original MONO tapes were gone. Sounds great, nonetheless.)

Neko Case- Neon Grey Midnight Green (2025)- ***1/2

(Good record from Neko. I'm a fairweather fan, but I enjoyed a lot this. Beautiful opening track.)

Mike Viola- Lurch (2007)- ****
(Just about every song on this record is a perfectly crafted pop gem. It's so good, I'm posting a two-fer. Looking forward to seeing him next month. )

Pete Townshend- Psychoderelict: Music Only (1993)- **1/2
The Everly Brothers- It's Everly Time! (1960)- ****
Bad Brains- Omega Sessions (1980/1997)- ****

Bad Brains- I Against I (1986)- ****

(As far as hardcore/punk/reggae records go, this is the king of them all.)

Cheap Trick- In Color (1977)- ****

Tapes are mentioned. You’d know better than I what that actually means in the world of vinyl remasters and rereleases. Looking forward to the new Neko Case. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the link. But, the first question asked is, "Blah blah...tapes were lost...did you locate them?" And he doesn't say "Yes." He just says "we provided the masters," which doesn't specify analog. There is a longer discussion about it in the Hoffman forums.

I read it as ‘vague’ also. Hence the expert referral. Thanks, sir :)

It's a very nice sounding record. I had an original for years and it was always my preferred version. Not sure this reissue is as good, but $30 versus $2000 makes it just fine!

I see it’s available streaming so I’ll give it listen. I appreciate the heads-up, sir. And, I’m very happy with the vinyl copy I recently purchased from you, so not a priority for me.
Though no listening until after the Sloan late-career trilogy on-repeat marathon listening party (12, Steady, and Based on the Best Seller) that you instigated - said with much gratitude. Personally, I think this is up there with the great Power Pop runs. And not the first time this band has had such a run. :)

Cast- All Change (1995)- *** (I remembered why I didn't remember this record. It's kinda flat. Nothing terrible, but no great songs ...
