The Four Freshmen- Complete Capitol Fifties Recordings: Disc 7 (2000)-***1/2
(I knew Brian Wilson pretty much based the Beach Boys sound on the Four Freshmen, but I've never actually listened to their music, assuming it was a bit too lightweight. The harmonies are mind boggling, and some of the musical arrangements are pretty hip, too. This is pretty great stuff, every once in a while.)

The Paragons w/Roslyn Sweat- Riding High (1974)- ****

(One of my favorite reggae records of all time.)

Nine Inch Nails- TRON:Ares-Dr. Wu Edit (2025)-****
(A leaner, stronger listening experience! Great job, Dr. Wu.)

Burning Spear- Man In The Hills (1976)- ***1/2
Icecream Hands- The Good China (2017)- ***1/2

Shaun Cassidy- Wasp (1980)- ****
(Shaun Cassidy produced by Todd Rundgren and backed by Utopia is a flawed but fantastic experience. A few of the covers teeter on the unlistenable, though the cover of The Who's "So Sad About Us" is sublime. The Todd originals written for this project are actually terrific. This is a much better record than its rep.)

Rainbow- Personal Playlist (2025)-***1/2

4th Street Orchestra- Leggo! Ah-Fi-We-Dis (1976)-***1/2
(Fun, melodic dub record. "Ah Who Seh? Go Deh" is a better record, but this is worth the time.)

Frank Sinatra- Strangers In The Night (1966, MONO)- ****

(Title track aside, this record swings. The Nelson Riddle arrangements sound like nothing else on record. The organ is a co-star on this album.)

World Party- Private Revolution (1986)- ****
The Beatles- Hey Jude-****

Elvis Presley- Roustabout (1964)-****
(One of the greatest horrible Elvis records.)

Okay, Shaun Cassidy produced by Todd Rundgren def caught my attention. Cool for Shaun to be smart enough to do it! I just listened to easily my least favorite Frank Sinatra album: Francis A & Edward K. Hard to believe it was released just ten months after his sublime work with Jobim.

I love the Ellington/Frank record. It's getting a smart reissue next week. "All I Need Is The Girl," "Poor Butterfly," "I Like The Sunrise"---all sublime.

You’re too kind, sir. More than happy that you liked it. Never thought to edit albums until you. Lol! Thanks for all you do. :)
