Rockpile- Seconds Of Pleasure
The Remains- S/T (Kevin Gray MONO Master)
The Beach Boys- Wild Honey
The Beach Boys- 20/20
The Guess Who- The Best Of
(Did some record shopping in Philly on Wednesday and picked up a dozen or so records, including these five. That mono Remains is a great release and a must listen, and I do think "20/20" is really underrated.)
Rhett Miller- The Believer
(Too much to say about this. Stay tuned for a Burning Wood post.)
Elvis Costello- Spike
(There's a great E.P. within this album.)
Faces- John Peel, 1971
(If the whole BBC box sounds like this, it's going to be one of the best releases of the year!)
Bobby Womack- My Prescription
New Order- Substance
(Had to hear this after seeing it performed live in Philly on Wednesday. "Substance" would be a contender for best "best of," but a few songs really knock this down a peg. It felt that way at the show, too.)

Looking forward to the Faces box.
The Nick Lowe/Los Straightjackets isn't out yet, but the three singles released are pretty good.
Re: New Order. They were excellent up through Blue Monday, but it got a bit boring from there due to to much techno. Temptation, Hurt, Ceremony, etc. are superb.
I listened to the new single from Lone Justice. It's a cover of The Undertones Teenage Kicks and another live track from the early 80's. Didn't care for the a-side (vocals didn't suit the rest), but the b-side was fine.

Looking forward to the Nick/Straitjackets just because I love them both. But I think it's annoying that everyone involved is passing this off as a new album.
How's the new Paris Hilton album? (And when was the Nick Lowe recorded?)
The Beach Boys had a good run w Friends, 20/20 and Sunflower. I like them all a lot.
