I second everything you said about the Ben Harper/Blind Boys of Alabama album. Looking forward to checking out the Sly doc.

Man, Egan toiled in obscuity for years. He used to play solo piano in an upscale bar/restaurant in Lafayette, Charlie G's. Would go there and just drink at the bar and get the closest seat to the piano, so that I could hear him over the other noises.
