(I know it's a fake Queen record, but it's a great fake Queen record. Or even better, it's Freddie's best solo album because he had his bandmates helping him out. Liked this from day one.)

(I can't believe I dropped the ball on that Kinks' Curated Hits post over at the other place and failed to mention THIS, an actual hard copy of the example. 12 Hits chosen by Japanese fans strictly for the Japanese market! It can be done.)

Faces- Ooh La La (Kevin Gray Remaster)
(This record was in the cut-out bins three months after its release. Why?? For the record, I think the Faces four records rank from the last to the first, making "Ooh La La" my favorite. You know, for the record.)

Hah! I listened to that Ronnie Lane record yesterday too. Great minds...
Agree with your Faces album ranking. It took a little bit for Ooh La La to rise to the top for me. Maybe it's because it's a more mid-tempo record, but in the fullness of time, that's what makes it great.
Seriously, what are the odds? I haven't played that Ronnie in years, as I had sold my vinyl copy. I only just noticed while scrolling through iTunes. Really a lovely record.
I was never able to find a vinyl copy, but I did buy the CD when the reisssues were put out. All his albums plus a few odds & sods are on Spotify now, so I probably listen to them a little more frequently than I would otherwise. But it had been a couple of years since the last spin.
