Just noticed that the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club album was a featured album today on Burning Wood. It reminded me that I bought the album because it had gotten good reviews. Two things stick in my mind:
--The outer packaging of my CD was so tightly attached to the CD case that I had to rip it off in order to get to the CD. A blasphemous act to a collector like myself.
--The record company, to prevent copying and pirating, had installed some kind of software on the disk so that it was almost impossible to play on a computer--which, at the time, was my only way to listen to CDs.
As a result, I think I only listened to this album once, and I can't really remember a note of it. To Spotify I go!
