I think Parade is Prince's perfect album. Not a weak moment and it sounds truly different -- the funk is deep and crystalline all it once. Maybe Sign O The Times or Purple Rain is more important or just as great. But they both have brief moments that are weaker. Not Parade.
If SOTT was a single LP, it would be his masterpiece. But yes, I love "Parade" and pretty much agree with what you said.
